REFLECTION TASK 1.B
This week I am going to introduce you to an unusual shop owner, social media phenomen and psycholog, Fatih Güllü. As he is the heir from the sixth generation of the 'Güllüoğlu' family, some of them may have heard this name before. Yes I mention about the famous brand which produces pastry, kebabs and especially Turkish Baklava for over 140 years and sells all over the world. After graduating from Galatasaray University, instead of building a career on his major at psychology departmant, Fatih Güllü decided to share his knowledge about his father's occupation. He had an account on Instagram, (a social media tool where the users can share photos with long descriptions -easier than using a blog-) and started to share pastry receipts. He learned what women talk among themselves, what they love, how can reach people using social media. He use a sincer tone and modest attitude towards to his followers and it works well, everyone loves that page! Thanks to his knowledge about human psychology, he has become a phenomen on Instagram shortly, now he has 250k followers (%98 of these followers are women) and they are actively participating his posts. They give feedback about the receipts, they comment on the other things with the other users and commumicate each other very well. He has recently opened a Youtube Channel, too. Now he is aiming to become the brand's face, and after 143 branches, he wants to open more shops at major places on abroad for future. I think that is enough for one page soo, see you next week!
